Classic Loetz Early Glass 'Onyx' Pattern Vase c1887 made for Islamic market
About the Item
Classic Loetz 'ball and stem' vase in the early documented Onyx pattern in an unusual combination of vibrant orange, red and brown over opaque white -this pattern dates to c 1887-8. The vase is decorated at the top of the neck with one of their classic Islamic style polychrome enamel patterns in pastel pink, blue and green.
Loetz was, and still is, probably the most famous and most collected of the great Bohemian glass makers.
