French Art Nouveau Glass and Metal Ornate Three Part Garniture c 1900
About the Item
A very stylish period French Art Nouveau clear frosted glass and base metal three part garniture, consisting of a central tear drop vase with ornate metal top and base with long sinuous handles dangling to each side (the central vase does not have an opening in the top) together with two matching tear drop vases with a single metal swaged handle and a metal jug like top (the 'jugs' are open at the top) -The overall impact is impressive and clearly dates to the high point of the Art Nouveau period.
Sadly we have not managed to work out who made this fabulous period pieces
The small area inside of the metal bases appear to be resin which has probably been added later to ensure they balance correctly.
