Shenango China by Richard Koppe (1916-1973) American Abstract Painter and Educator. Student of Maholy-Nagy at The New Bauhaus, Professor at The Institute of Design and later The University of Illinois (Chicago Campus). designed the interior and this ware for the famous Chicago Restaurant- 'Well of the Sea' in the Hotel Sherman (1946-1972).
