About the Item

Set of seven plates "Velieri" is an original set of decorative objects realized by the Italian artist and designer Piero Fornasetti (Milan, 1909-1988) in the 1960s. Made by Fornasetti, Milan. The plates are realized in glazed earthenware with a black and white lithograph and with gold edge outside. Marked: VELIERI, manufacturer's mark. All the plates are in very good conditions. Excellent set that includes seven plates depicting sailboats realized with different shapes. The manufacts are realized in white glazed earthware with a black and white lithograph impressed on the surface. The works are surrounded by a small fine edge realized in gold. The shapes of the sailboats are different but all express a great movement thanks to the shapes of the sails and the trees of the ships.
