Japanese Porcelain Plate Polychrome Decoration
About the Item
Japanese porcelain plate. Exuberant polychrome decoration richly decorated with colours and yellow elements, reminiscent of gold. In the centre is a detailed illustration of two elegant cranes, one of the most traditional symbols of Asian culture, often associated with longevity, peace and happiness. The birds are in a natural setting, surrounded by bamboo and a flowering tree, evoking a serene landscape.
The rim of the plate is decorated with a symmetrical pattern of red, blue and yellow tones, creating a vibrant contrast with the white background. The use of yellow emphasises the whole decoration.
