Since 1731 sculptor at Meissen manufactory, he is one of the best modellers Meissen manufactory ever had.
Kaendler designed the group 'Ancient Love / The Legacy Hunter' circa 1765.

Specifications:
An old woman having sat down on an upholstered Rococo chair is courted / wooed by a gallant man who kisses back of her right hand. Next to man's feet there is a little satyr with a gnome's features visible: It holds some documents in both hands - these paper sheets have been drawn of a half-open casket being visible on earth. A small money box is visible on woman's lap. The figurines are excellently coloured in various shades. The details - look for example at the figurine's characteristic features, please, - are excellently modelled:
