Smallest: D 20.5 cm x H 3.5 cm. The Meissen porcelain factory was founded in 1710 in Germany and was the first European manufacturer of true hard-paste porcelain. Established under the patronage of Augustus the Strong, Elector of Saxony, the factory is located in the town of Meissen near Dresden. Meissen is renowned for its exceptional craftsmanship, elaborate decorations, and its iconic crossed swords mark. Today, Meissen remains one of the world’s most prestigious porcelain brands.
