Meissen gorgeous figurine group of stunning appearance. There are six gardeners - flanked by a tall tree - visible. MANUFACTORY:  MEISSEN (M939) DATING: THIRD QUARTER OF 19TH CENTURY / MADE CIRCA 1870 BLUE MEISSEN SWORD MARK WITH POMMELS ON HILTS FIRST QUALITY MATERIAL:  WHITE PORCELAIN, GLOSSY FINISH, FINEST PAINTING TECHNIQUE:  HANDMADE PORCELAIN   DESIGNER: MICHAEL VICTOR ACIER (*6.8.1736 Versailles/France - † 17.2.1799 Dresden/Germany) designed and modelled circa 1772 M.V.Acier received his education as sculptor in Paris. The artist went in year 1762 to Meissen Porcelain Manufactory after he had gotten an appointment to modeller. Subsequently Acier has become famous for having created a lot of porcelain figurines of Watteau Style. Finally, Acier went to Dresden in year 1780 in order to be active als Modeller of Royal Saxon Court. SPECIFICATIONS: SUBJECT: GORGEOUS FIGURINE GROUP OF STUNNING APPEARANCE: THERE ARE SIX GARDENERS - FLANKED BY A TALL TREE - VISIBLE. ° a couple situated at top (on a rock): the woman is spinning yarn while she is observed by a man who holds a watch attached to a girdle in his hands: Certainly THIS SCENE IS SYMBOL OF TIME ! ° a couple being busy with catching a bird: The woman holds a birdcage in her hands while the man sitting next to her - on a rock - looks at a lovely bird which has taken place on man's hand: Probably this scene is SYMBOL OF TRANSIENCE OF TIME ! ° a woman having closed her eyes as well as holding a love letter in left hand awaits her companion who presents her a leafy stick: Probably this scene is SYMBOL OF LOVE'S DESIRE ! ALL FIGURINES ARE DRESSED IN SUPERB ROCOCO GARMENTS which details are excellently worked out / look for example at the men's garments or at the women's gowns, further at the figurines' handsome features and note, please, the elegant impression of ensemble deriving from HIGHEST QUALITY OF MODELLING ! Please note, too, superb appearance, FINEST BRIGHT COLOURED PAINTING of various shades. The figurines are based on round support decorated with stylized golden ornaments. SPECIAL NOTE: -- the figurine group is surmounted by a stunning tall tree (a part of tree's trunk is REMOVABLE) having many branches to which numerous leaves are attached. MEASURES / DIMENSIONS: total height: 19.29 inches (tree included) diameter: 8.85 inches THERE ARE THE FOLLOWING MARKS EXISTING: MODEL NUMBER D 93 PAINTER'S NUMBER 61 FORMER'S NUMBER 94 CONDITION :  EXCELLENT THERE AREN'T ANY DAMAGES EXISTING. A very few leaves have been restored in finest manner (not visible with naked eye). Apart from that, there aren't any resorations existing.
