An exceptional, fine and impressive, unusual antique Victorian English sterling silver punch ladle by John Wilmin Figg; an addition to our silver flatware collection
This exceptional antique Victorian cast sterling silver punch ladle has been crafted in a very unusual naturalistic form.
The stem of the handle is ornamented with fine and impressive decoration reproducing the features of an ivy vine.
The handle is further embellished with an impressive terminal depicting a mermaid peering into a hand mirror.
This exceptional silver punch ladle is further ornamented with an impressive trifurcating leaf design forming a shaped heel, in junction with the bowl.
The oval rounded bowl of the ladle is encircled with an impressive chased leaf textured, undulating flared border to the rim.
The interior of the bowl retains the original gilding.
Condition
This antique punch ladle is an exceptional gauge of silver and exceptional quality. The ladle is in exceptional condition in keeping with age. Full hallmarks struck to the reverse surface of the bowl are all very clear; there is some slight wear in keeping with age and location.

This exceptional antique Edwardian sterling silver soup ladle has been crafted in the Queen's pattern.
The anterior and posterior surfaces of the handle is embellished with the Classic Queen's pattern ornamentation, includes a convex shell design to either side of the terminal, in addition to the honeysuckle and rosette design.
This exceptional Edwardian ladle has a plain rounded bowl with an impressive honeysuckle design to the heel.

This magnificent William IV sterling silver punch ladle has been hand forged in a rare and unusual design.
The handle of the punch/soup ladle has been realistically modelled in the form of a horse's head, emanating from an impressive scrolling enveloping leaf design.
The tapering stem is embellished with the contemporary engraved presentation inscription 'Presented to A. C. Renton by his father on his birth day, 3rd May 1833'.
The reverse of this impressive example of antique silverware features an exceptional honeysuckle style heel to the shell shaped bowl.
This exceptional 19th century example of Scottish silverware retains the original gilding.
