Excellently manufactured nicest quite heavy bowl made of massive silver, with two handles ( = highest manufacturing quality !) :
The bowl can be used as cooler for champagne or white wine where ice cubes have to be put into. - This elegant silver item has round base / the cooler is abundantly decorated - its surface is worked in finest manner. The decorations were made by chiselled / chasing work: Acanthus scrolls as well as flower's blossoms attached to leavy stems growing out from area below decorate the cooler's part below like a frieze / additionally, there is a bulged border of stylized leaves existing, running around at bowl's upper part two hoisted handles partially covered with so-said pearl ornaments existing.

This exceptional, fine and impressive silver wine and drinks set consists of six liqueur glasses and drinks tray.
The Victorian silver liqueur glass each retain the original plain cylindrical clear glass body, with a detachable silver mount to the lower portion.
The silver holder of each drinking vessel is embellished with embossed decoration depicting rural scenes incorporating figures gifting flowers and tending to sheep.
Each scene is encompassed with impressive scrolling designs, creating an undulating shaped rim to the upper portion.
The silver tray has a rectangular form with rounded corners; the surface of the tray is plain and unembellished.
The rim of the tray is encompassed with an impressive applied gadroon decorated border accented with scrolling leaf designs to the corners.
Either end of the tray features an impressive cast silver handle ornamented with reed decoration and an enveloping leaf design to the handpiece.
This exceptional set is fitted to the original and desirable hinged leatherette presentation box with satin and velvet lined interior.
The impressive double hinged cover of the box secures with a hinge catch, and the interior of each retains the retailer's mark 'Aitchison, To Her Majesty the Queen, Court Jewellers, 80 Princes St Edinburgh'.

John D. Macomber was a prominent corporate executive and board member of leading financial companies and nonprofit organizations. Macomber joined McKinsey & Company after graduating from Harvard Business School, rose to partner, and led the firm’s expansion into Europe while he was based in London, Geneva and Paris in the 1960s. He left McKinsey to helm the Celanese Corporation in New York, a global fiber and chemical company. He oversaw its expansion and dramatically increased share value, partly through stock buybacks — a concept he was one of the first to implement.
