About the Item

A very fine English Arts and Crafts treen specimen wood turned goblet This superb English Arts and Crafts turned goblet is signed on the underside J Hill and dated 1909. It is made from multiple layers of different cut timbers which have been glued together in a conforming pattern prior to turning this marvellous goblet. The different specimen timbers form a geometric pattern which runs through the cup, baluster and foot which have been formed on a lathe to elegant proportions. This piece has a rich colour and patina. Circa 1909 Dimensions: W 9 cm (3.5") x D 9 cm (3.5") x H 14.5 cm (5.7").
