About the Item

English silver and crystal jam holder by William Hutton & Son Ltd, 1916 A silver holder with two crystal jars with lids. The square crystal jar has two ribbed lines on the side. One lid has a crack in the crystal of the lid. There are two hooks on the front. As an example shown in the photos, there are cardboard cards with the names of which fruit the jam is in the crystal.(cards not included) The holder is made of silver by William Hutton & Son Ltd. (1896-2006). A flat silver plateau, raised on four ball feet. In the middle is the holder to carry with on top the handle. On each side of the handle are the holders for the crystal jars. The silver is hallmarked with the English silver hallmarks. The Crown for Sheffield. The English Lion and the Year letter Y for 1916. The measurement is 17.5 cm high, 17 cm wide and the depth is 6.3 cm. The weight is 934 grams. Shows traces of use
