La Real Fabbrica di Capodimonte fu fondata nel 1743 da Carlo di Borbone, re di Napoli, all'interno della Reggia di Capodimonte. La fabbrica ha avuto diverse fasi di attività, con periodi di grande splendore e momenti di chiusura, ma ha sempre mantenuto alti standard qualitativi. La porcellana di Capodimonte è famosa per la sua "pasta tenera", una composizione che conferisce agli oggetti una particolare morbidezza e luminosità. Le decorazioni sono caratterizzate da una grande cura dei dettagli, con raffigurazioni di scene mitologiche, figure allegoriche, motivi floreali e scene di vita quotidiana.
