About the Item
A very finely made studio pottery lidded conserve jar decorated in tenmoku glazes with a ribbon and bow pattern applied around the body of the jar by Scottish based potter David Heminsley (1927-2007). The stoneware jar is of rounded bulbous shape with a recessed cover with spoon cut out and with potters seal marks both to the lower edge of the jar and to the cover.
In excellent condition, small unglazed spot to top rim but in the making.
