About the Item

A beautiful ceiling light in brass and opaline glass, model “Tre Lune,” designed by Angelo Lelii with certificate of authenticity from the Arredoluce Archive, 1961. In this ceiling or wall light named “Tre Lune,” Angelo Lelii expresses three of the defining traits of his entire body of work: elegance, functionality, and a distinctive personal style. The elegance lies in the perfectly balanced aesthetic — while the brass arms may appear asymmetrical at first glance, their proportions are in fact harmoniously related. The lamp’s functionality is evident in the choice of softly shaded opaline globes, which allow the light to diffuse gently and with great effect. Lelii’s unique style emerges through the conceptual thread that runs through all Arredoluce creations. Founded by Lelii in the postwar years, Arredoluce became a benchmark in lighting design, with Lelii himself directly involved in the design of many fixtures. This hands-on approach continued even as major figures of Italian design such as Albini, Magistretti, and Sottsass later collaborated with the company. Due to the brand’s ongoing popularity and market demand, many counterfeits and unauthorized reproductions have appeared over the years. Choosing an iconic and historically important design piece also means valuing the integrity of an original, non-counterfeit product. Whether for an interior designer, a collector, or a private enthusiast, originality must be a priority. The “Tre Lune” presented here meets these criteria: it is in excellent vintage condition and comes with a certificate issued by Arredoluce confirming its authenticity.
