About the Item

Crafted from gilt brass, the lantern features a cylindrical frosted glass shade that diffuses light beautifully, creating a warm and inviting ambiance. Four rods connect the bottom and top brass, adding an ornamental element while securing the lantern. The curled ends of the rods create a lovely visual. The brass frame is adorned with intricate chased repoussé details, showcasing floral garlands and classical motifs characteristic of the neoclassical aesthetic. The bottom brass band is decorated with ornamental elements of vegetation and fruit. Corn represented royalty and prosperity while the pear symbolized affection. The lantern is suspended from a matching gilt brass canopy. This piece is a stunning decorative element that would enhance any interior space with its historical charm and timeless beauty. H=22 in. W=11 in. D=11 in. 10 lbs.
