About the Item
A most charming French 19th century Louis XVI st. Imari Porcelain and Ormolu lamp. This elegant lidded urn converted into a lamp is raised by four duck feet below a round Ormolu socle decorated with Japanese characters below a beaded band. The Imari Porcelain urn is adorned with a hummingbird, scrolls and floral blossoms in blues, reds and gold. The lid supports an Ormolu topie shaped lid decorated with Japanese characters and geometric patterns.
