Exquisitely hand-crafted in France, 19th c., exceptionally executed Parisian work, most impressive large size, beautifully patinated gilt bronze and brass fireplace andirons in Neo-Gothic taste, featuring turned column with two pierced reticulated balls, grotesque lion mask with door knocker ring, rising on ornate acanthus topped stylized animal legs terminating in paw claw feet, mounted on a later rectangular wooden plinth base, surmounted by classical flame finials. circa 1860
