Rare Early 1900s Chrome Art Deco Table or Desk Lamp with Adjustable Shade

About the Item

Incredibly stylish little Art Deco desk lamp. There is something about this little Art Deco and Bauhaus style table lamp that makes me feel that it could very well be by one of the greatest designers from the early 20th century. To us the design is as stylish and subtle as can be and we think that the combination of the timeless shape and the wonderful chrome has a universal appeal. The adjustable shade (with the original white paint on the inside) makes it possible to direct the light to a larger area and it obviously also enables you to change the lightbulb. When looking close-up one can see that appr. half of the chrome shade has certain signs of wear (see image9) and the other half is fine. In image 7 you can see that some parts of the base even have parts where the chrome is warn off all together. Because of the condition of the chrome some collectors may not be interested in this lamp. However, this is such a fine and rare, Art Deco design piece that we think and feel entirely different about that. This lamp too is professionaly rewired for safe and immediate usage outside of Europe as well and when bought by an American client we will also attach an American power.
