This is a pair of antique reference books 'The Treasury of Botany' by Samuel Maunder. Published in English by Longmans, Green & Co of London, in the Victorian period, dated 1884. Full title: The Treasury of Botany: A popular dictionary of The Vegetable Kingdom; with which is incorporated A Glossary of Botanical Terms. Edited by John Lindley, Thomas Moore and with woodcuts by Fitch and Branston, and engravings by Adlard. Presented in good antique condition, intact and with minimal markings Leather bound in a tasteful chestnut brown hue, with gilt spine titling Volume 1 runs across 652 pages, with Volume 2 comprising 700 pages respectively Wonderful illustrations highlight select species in good detail Accentuated with superb reproduction engravings across single pages This is a fascinating pair of antique reference books, the Maunder Treasury of Botany.
