DESCRIPTION: FIRST EDITION PRESENTATION COPY. 1 vol., inscribed on the front blank edleaf by Pragnell "Mr Forrest Ackerman, with all good wishes, Festus Pragnell", hardbound, with the original pictorial DJ. CONDITION: The book is in VERY GOOD condition, the verso of the DJ has early paper reinforcing, some mild general handling, head and foot of spine fine, otherwise in GOOD condition. Scarce inscribed and with the DJ. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The recipient Forrest Ackerman was his American literary agent. A VERY GOOD association. Festus Pragnell (Frank William Pragnell, 1905-1977) was a British policeman and author of pulp fiction active mostly in the 1930s and 1940s. This work is a fantasy set on Kilsona, an inhabited planet of the microcosm. Pragnell's summary of the planet's history is largely based on the writings of H. Geewells, especially his book "War From The Clouds".
