A non-firing sporting arm once owned by Lieutenant-Colonel Reginald Selby Walker D.S.O, Royal Engineers 91871-1918). Walker was killed at the Battle of Canal Du Nord at the end of 1918. This beautiful 19th century mahogany and brass bound presentation case holds Walker's original war medals and gallantry medal. Together with the original 'Death Penny', a bronze plaque sent to Walker's family by the War Office. Distinguished Service Order gallantry medal - Awarded to Walker in 1916 for Distinguished Service in the field. The Queen's South Africa Medal and Kings South Africa Medal for operations during the 2nd Boer War. Together with the British War medal, Victory Medal and the 1914-1915 Star, all engraved with Walkers name.
