The case locks with three brass clasps and a v-lock center clasp engraved with a serial number and Louis Vuitton’s name and store addresses. Its interior, lined with the brand’s signature damask linen and in pristine condition, offers a removable ribbon cage, an envelope pocket with brass buttons, and an authentication plate alongside a "Saks & Cy" label representing the Saks & Cy – Fifth Avenue – New York store. Personalized details include the hand-painted initials 'C.W.A.' of the original owner, Charlotte Whitney Allen. Charlotte Whitney Allen (1891–1978) was an elegant figure known for her involvement in social and cultural circles in Rochester, New York.
