This bedside table was part of a complete enchanting bedroom furniture set by Portois and Fix, originally manufactured for the presidential suite at the Imperial Hotel in Carlsbad. The original condition of the furniture was unprofessionally refurbished on some surface parts over time. It therefore requires a professional renovation. Generally is the furniture in good structural condition, bears signs of age and use. It´s made of wood and glass. Something about Hotel Imperial history: International grand hotel Imperial was conceived by Carlsbad entrepreneur Alfred Schwalb in the early 20th century when the spa town lacked sufficient accommodation capacity. Its interiors were furnished by Portois & Fix, a Viennese furniture company. Imperial opened its doors on June 18th, 1912. Its first honorable guests from the aristocracy, politicians, entrepreneurs, and financial magnates.
