18th Century French Polished Copper Decorative Coal Bucket or Umbrella Stand

About the Item

Place this antique coal basket next to your front door to catch umbrellas. Crafted in France circa 1780 and made of copper with a large side handle, this country decorative basket has a wide pouring mouth over a round body and base. The tall bucket is in good condition with a rich, patinated polished finish. The versatile, and traditional piece could also be used as a decorative flower jardinière or simply as a kitchen accessory over the cabinets. Small hole on the handle (see last picture). Measures: 13" W x 9" D x 16.5" H.
