About the Item
Charming vintage needle point canvas designs by Louis J. Gartner Jr. He was well known in the design world as a Sothebys consultant, artist and designer with boutiques in Bergdorf Goodman and Palm Beach which specialized in hand painted needlepoint design.
Wonderful craft projects, these old stock blank pillow designs date from the 1960's to 70's and are each hand painted. Each is unusual, whether is decorative or humorous. He also wrote the eponymous book "Needlepoint Design", 1970.
