About the Item

A spectacular antique caucasian carpet decorated with an unusual twenty- point Lesghi star. The rug features boldly contrasted colors of indigo blue for the field and three wide borders of green, Ivory and maroon red respectively. Few caucasian rugs can match the visual splendor, the almost byzantine magnificence of this rug, the shades of blues, red brown, salmon, orange, light yellow, ivory and shades of green are particularly impressive. All dyes used to create this rug are organic and wool is of high quality. There are very few expert restorations completed on this rug and the overall condition is great.
