Small Size Tianjin Rug with Terra Cotta Field

About the Item

This well-preserve scatter shows a full terra cotta field with a twisting, double light blue tendril on all four sides, asymmetrically set with morning glory flower sprays in two opposite corners. Shading of floral elements. Thick and heavy weave. The asymmetry of floral sprays and branches in Chinese rugs is a distinct mark of the Art Deco period. Rug Size 2'10x4'10
