About the Item

Born near Berlin in 1904, German architect, furniture designer and university lecturer Egon Eiermann desigend his famous ‘E10’ rattan armchair in 1949. Eiermann is regarded as one of the most important German architects of post-war modernism. One of his most famous works was the German Pavilion for the 1958 World Exposition in Brussels, which also featured this wonderful E10 armchair. Made of light natural rattan, this wicker armchair does not have a substructure, weighing almost nothing, yet it is incredibly stabile.
