We are delighted to offer for sale this lovely pair of original circa 1810-1820 Regency bergere ebonised with mother of pearl inlay side chairs and matching tray table
A very good looking well made and decorative suite. In truth, they rarely come up for sale in pairs, they usually turn up as singles and are rare survivors. This set has lovely mother of pearl inlay, some great gold leaf painting and the original ebonised finish. The seats are early rattan, three are still tight, one has some sagging with age in the middle as you can see in the picture. The tray table has lovely carved legs
Condition wise is period correct, there are some light age and use related patina marks here and there as you would expect, they are just over 200 years old
