About the Item

The Generational interference Chair Designed and produced in Leipzig, Germany. This chair deals with generational conflicts. It is questioning, not only the mindset, but the idea of quality in design, architecture and art. Also investigating the impact oft he past on the future. Has the past been better than the future, is there a better, is it as black and white? In what way are the past and the future entangled? Do we have to be afraid of the future and are we able to learn from the past? This whole chair is one big question using an old playful and well manufactured chair frame from the twentieth century that is burned and interwoven with the modern and cold shape of the twentyfirst century using ash beames connected very practically. This particular chair is not really meant to be used as a chair and should be considered for the inside.

Crate Chair by Gerrit Rietveld, Designed in 1930s The Netherlands
By Gerrit Rietveld, Cassina
Located in Hellouw, NL
Nice Gerrit Rietveld 'Crate' chair. This chair is designed in 1934, however, we think this is a Cassina edition from the 1970s. This chair is made out of ash wood and has a colorless lacquer. 'Gerrit Rietveld designed the 'crate' series of furniture built from standardized pine boards – cheap material for packing crates – which were soon well-known as ‘crate furniture’. 'From 1935 on the progressive designs appeared at Metz & Co, where furniture by Rietveld had already been sold since 1930. The crate desk...

The Iconic Black Stained MZO Chair in Beechwood with Upholstery by Mazo Design
Located in Geneve, CH
The Iconic Black Stained MZO Chair in Beechwood with Upholstery by Mazo Design Dimensions: W 46 x D 50 x H 75 cm Materials: Beech. This iconic chair played a leading role in one of the fairy tales of Danish furniture design. However – more curiously – it is also on display at The Workers Museum in Copenhagen. This chair was designed specifically with the ambition to create a chair that working class Danes could afford. With mazo's new edition this classical chair is once again made available to everyone looking for a quality dining chair. Mazo produce and re-launch both the iconic international design classics, and the hidden gems that have only been produced in a small number in this design universe. We are serious about authenticity. We rely on it, as it is the core of our existence. Humbled to be trusted with the exclusive rights to manufacture and launch furniture...
