A Belle Époque French buffet a deux corps in a medium, brown-colored walnut. This very beautiful Renaissance-style buffet features exceptional carvings of urns, flowers & foliage that are carved directly from the solid walnut panels (not applied), with carved moldings & carved convex drawer fronts. Turned columns separate the top cabinet from the lower one, with turned & fluted columns anchoring the doors. Original brass key plates, pulls & locks. Comes with working keys. France, circa 1870.
Makes a great bar, providing an ample serving area for mixing drinks, as well as storage for glassware & bottles!

A lavishly carved wedding piece, this oak buffet a deux-corps from Normandy, is embellished with foliage and flowers in carved relief, as well as offering beautifully-articulated applied carvings in high relief as seen in the central flower-filled basket and flanking floral sprays, which are symbolic of a fruitful union. It features the original hand-blown glass, as well as the original pulls, key plates, locks, one key, shelves, and carved escargot feet.
