A 17th-18th Century French/Italian Renaissance Walnut Carved Credenza Cabinet

About the Item

A 17th-18th Century French/Italian Renaissance Walnut Figural Carved Credenza Cabinet or Cupboard. The two-part cabinet with a pair of upper coffered doors with metal key-hole hardware below carved figure of cherub-heads, the apron with a pair of drawers with metal pull-handles flanked by scrolled capitols, the lower part also with a pair of coffered doors and raised on bun-feet.     Repaired: Some old touch-ups and wood worm fillings. Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses. Minor structural damages. Minor fading. A truly great quality and rare cabinet, great age patina. Overall condition is good considering its age. Some evidence of old wood-worm pin-holes and losses as expected for pieces of this age.
