About the Item

A nice example of a Neoclassical mahogany commode in a three over two configuration, with molded edge top with notched front surmounting a case with ebony inlaid drawer fronts, brass ring pulls, reeded corners, and paneled sides, all supported by turned round legs. Northern European in origin, circa 1790, in very good condition, with most of its original hardware, some replaced brasses, surface stains, rubs, minor worm damage, and surface wear commensurate with age and use. Includes a locking key. Dimensions: 34.25 in H x 42.13 in W x 21.5 in D. Ref: 715
