8-Drawer Triennale Mod. L326 Dresser, Arne Vodder, Sibast Mobler, Denmark, 1950s

About the Item

Introducing an incredibly rare 'Triennale' Model L-32-6 Dresser designed by the influential Arne Vodder. Crafted in the mid-1950's this stately eight-drawer dresser is impressive in both scope and materials utilized and represents the early Danish Modern Aesthetic's rise to prominence with clean lines, utilization of premium Burmese teak all set atop ultra-minimal tapered legs. Within, the piece boasts dovetail joinery, finished drawer bottoms and inset handles carved from solid teak. The back too is finished making this piece and it's placement within any space versatile. Arne Vodder, born in 1926 in Denmark, was a prominent furniture designer known for his simple, yet elegant pieces made from natural materials such as teak and rosewood. A student of the legendary Finn Juhl at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, Vodder opened his own studio with architect Anton Borg in 1950. His work is characterized by organic forms and minimalistic designs, which gained international recognition in the 1950s and 1960s. Vodder's furniture has graced prestigious locations including the White House and numerous embassies worldwide. With it's roomy eight drawers, exquisite teak construction replete with superb woodgrains and finished back this extraordinary expansive dresser is ideal for collectors and it's rare, 100% original, vintage condition makes it perfect for collectors searching for a completely untouched piece that's ready for a literal lifetime more of use. With so few of these iconic dressers available for sale in North America and fewer still in such excellent original condition this Mod. L-32-6 'Triennale' won't last long. Make it yours today before it's gone forever. ---Dimensions--- Width: 78 in / 198.12 cm Depth: 19.5 in / 49.53 cm Height: 32.25 in / 81.92 cm This stunning 8-Drawer 'Triennale' Mod. L-32-6 Dresser is in 100% original, vintage condition! Remarkably well kept given it's age this expansive dresser shows minor signs of vintage wear such as surface scratches and two minor chips in the edge-banding around the top (all of which can be seen in the detail photos and natural light video provided). With that said there are no stains or other damage present whatsoever and the woodgrains of the Burmese teak are absolutely arresting in natural light. All eight drawers open and close with ease. This impressive dresser is highly functional, structurally solid and ready for a literal lifetime more of use. Please view all photos and video for details on this dresser's current condition. We're limited on the amount of media we can post so additional photos and videos are available upon request.
