John Widdicomb Nine Drawer Rosewood Dresser J. Stuart Clingman, 1950s

About the Item

Nine drawer dresser designed by J. Stuart Clingman for John Widdicomb Co. prior to his death in 1956. Quarter-cut rosewood framing, sculpted facia, over hanging top drawers, book matched rosewood veneer with cut back side panels, brass sabots and inset campaign style brass pulls. A substantial dresser with a well composed design in excellent condition. J. Stuart Clingman was the director of design for the John Widdicomb Company for 35 years. The dresser has been refinished and is in excellent condition. In addition we have the matched pair of nightstands 24" W, 16" D., 24.75" H. available that are in the process of being refinished.
