About the Item

Introducing an incredibly rare set of two matching 'Triennale' Model L-32-6 Dressers designed by the influential Arne Vodder. Crafted in the mid-1950's these stately eight-drawer dresses are impressive in both scope and materials utilized and represents the early Danish Modern Aesthetic's rise to prominence with clean lines, utilization of premium Burmese teak all set atop ultra-minimal tapered legs. Within, the pieces boast dovetail joinery, finished drawer bottoms and inset handles carved from solid teak. The backs too are finished making this set and it's placement within any space versatile. Arne Vodder, born in 1926 in Denmark, was a prominent furniture designer known for his simple, yet elegant pieces made from natural materials such as teak and rosewood. A student of the legendary Finn Juhl at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, Vodder opened his own studio with architect Anton Borg in 1950. His work is characterized by organic forms and minimalistic designs, which gained international recognition in the 1950s and 1960s. Vodder's furniture has graced prestigious locations including the White House and numerous embassies worldwide. With their roomy eight drawers, exquisite teak construction replete with superb woodgrains and finished backs this extraordinary expansive dresser set is ideal for collectors and their rare, 100% original, vintage condition makes them perfect for collectors searching for a completely untouched piece that's ready for a literal lifetime more of use. With so few of these iconic dressers available for sale in North America and fewer still in such excellent original condition these Mod. L-32-6 'Triennales' won't last long. Make them yours today before they're gone forever. ---Dimensions--- Width: 78 in / 198.12 cm Depth: 19.5 in / 49.53 cm Height: 32.25 in / 81.92 cm This stunning set of matching 8-Drawer 'Triennale' Mod. L-32-6 Dressers is in 100% original, vintage condition! With that said there are no stains or other damage present whatsoever and the woodgrains of the Burmese teak are absolutely arresting in natural light. All sixteen drawers open and close with ease.
