About the Item

Laundry or linen press with six shelves for smoothing everyday linen such as tablecloths, bed linen, scarves and napkins. This spindle press features a single-door base and is equipped with a drawer. The exquisitely decorated body with walnut veneer and ribbon inlays is accented on the front with a large auricle rocaille. Restored and hand polished condition. Household appliances of this type are very rare, as they often had to give way to progress and more unusual objects of this type were also placed representatively.
