About the Item
Rich mahogany and stately lines define this handsome Empire drop front secretary.
Refer to close up photos to appreciate the stunning color and pattern of the mahogany veneer.
Multiple interior drawers and storage areas are accented by the internal black half columns.
The upper section has two bow front cabinets, 5 mirrored sides with inlay marquetry "floor" and upper balcony resembling a formal ball room, complete with white columns (marble?) and brass accents.
Locks and keys function to upper cabinet doors and desktop (3 included). The 3 drawers open using the attached brass pulls.
Professionally restored, this handsome desk will bring timeless elegance to your home.
All old cracks, nicks, scratches and signs of wear are age related and do not detract from the beauty nor function of this exceptional secretary.
