1970s five shelf polished tubular chrome and bright green perspex shelving unit. The unit is in the style of Swiss modular furniture brand USM Haller. The height adjustable shelves slot into the vertical rectangular supporting column which is supported by the larger lower shelf at the bottom. The four adjustable shelves are slightly smaller in depth by 10cm than the shelf at the bottom.
The curved chrome top of the supporting column is removable to allow something to be slotted into the middle of it perhaps a mirror or another piece of perspex. I am not sure what exactly because it's missing from both units. The perspex shelves...

In 1967, Pierre Chapo presented new creations at the Salon des Arts Ménagers, exhibiting the B17 bookshelf for the first time. This bookcase is fixed to the wall freeing up a lot of living space. The bookshelf, whose presence surprises by its discretion and elegance, by the harmony of the lines between the uprights and the shelves (in 50 mm sections) is accentuated by the originality of the support system. Supports, as their name implies, normally prop up the shelves of a piece of furniture or else the jutting parts of buildings. Pierre Chapo decided not to take this universal law into account and modeled a support that fits into the upright, which means the shelf can be solidly fixed under its support. In a balance between gravity and the forces at play, the more weight goes on the shelf, the better its components slot into the upright. The wall unit is in the French Campagne style...

This Scandinavian freestanding “Ergo" 3-Bay teak modular shelving unit was designed by John Texmon and Einar Blindheim for Blindheim Mobelfabrikk, Norway in the 1960s. The gently curved edges of the cabinets and nicely sculpted elevated legs make for a very elegant statement piece.
This particular system is well-balanced and symmetrical, with a central bar, flanked by two cabinets, two cupboards and four shelves.
This shelving system with four uprights, can be moved to any configration and includes four shelves, two cabinets with a diamond shaped design on the sliding glass doors, backed with the original period green backing boards, which are also in the rear of both cupboards and bar. The two matching cupboards have sliding doors with a single shelf, and the dropdown bar, with key, opens to reveal the original Mica laminate bar in a fantastic grey and white sixties pattern.
In very clean vintage condition, the set is still wearing its original finish and has recently been gently oiled and is ready to be fitted.

French Parisian Bar or Bistro Liquor Bottle Display Shelf Unit, or could have been used to hold glasses, either way, these are extremely difficult to find, especially those that have not been trashed. Seems like every time we purchase something interesting that was used in a commercial environment, they tend to be, shall we say well worn. Fortunately, our French Brass and Glass Shelf Display survived the test of time and after being sent out for straightening and polishing the look is simply beautiful. Thick half-inch Glass Shelves (one small chip) help to finish off the Parisian Bistro Style that so many of us are looking for.
