German Carved and Inlaid Server or Sideboard, circa 1850

About the Item

Crafted with extreme care in Germany during the mid-19th century, this exceptional server or sideboard has a smaller footprint than most, making it an ideal piece for smaller rooms that deserve an eye-catching focal point. The clean lines and non-bulky carvings lend a lighter quality that many "visually heavy" pieces of this style don't often posses. Maple, walnut, and ebony inlays around each drawer front are an atypical inclusion in this style. The inlaid pattern is repeated in each of the original drawer pulls, quite the time consuming addition. Top surface height is 30". Key included, but not all locks are serviced.
