About the Item
This Italian sideboard dates to the 1950's and has a boldly Mid-Century Modern appearance. The piece is crafted in walnut veneers and features solid walnut legs. The two large doors feature raised panels with straight grain and recessed areas with a more figured grain, similar to burl. The effect is crisply geometric, amplified by shadows. The large interior space is bisected by a long horizontal shelf. Two slim drawers suitable for silverware pull out just below the top. The chest also makes for fine electronics storage beneath a wall-mounted television. The piece has a polished lacquer finish of medium gloss. It blends easily in traditional or modern decor.
