About the Item

The burl veneer pattern and patina of the burl elmwood on this table is fantastic! A vintage Chinese Chippendale burled elmwood veneer occasional table. It has interesting features like at the base of the feet, there is a squared shape and the actual form of the top of the table has a squared shape. It is American or European, mid/late 20th Century, according to our appraiser. The square top with raised rim and canted corners, raised on angled molded legs with pierced fret returns and a box foot. It is unmarked. But it is the elmwood burl veneers that are the standout for this table that offers several uses. It measures 26 inches tall, and 24 by 24 inches deep and wide.

The dark chocolate tone and the patina of the mahogany make this table irresistible. It is a cllassical style, mahogany drop-leaf table from New England, manufactured in the late 19th century. The rectangular top has a straight edge and two hinged drop leaves with fly supports and squared corners over a frame fitted with a single long drawer. Antique, 19th Century Turned Pine Occasional Table
Located in Lomita, CA
The beautiful details make this 19th century occasional table a standout. The design is 360 degrees with stylized touches from every angle, allowing for more design options. The pine finish has developed a warm patina, and the turned legs are flush with detail. The table is either American or English, late 19th Century. The rectangular top with molded edge over a corresponding frame fitted with a single molded long drawer, is raised on ring-turned legs, joined by a shelf stretcher. One of the planks in the stretcher is loose and will be tightened. This is a surprisingly sturdy and solid piece with nice design features. The table is wonderful in a number of settings, including a kitchen area, a foyer, a library or in a hallway accented with blue and white ceramic objects...
