About the Item

Aegis-P console table is made to order using solid stainless steel, brass plates, marble and gold steel wire. A modern contemporary design using only the finest materials and manufacturing methods; it takes 10 hours to carefully carve every part of the solid steel frame using the most advanced high pressure water jet. Every element is sourced in Italy and is assembled and finished by hand by a family of metal artisans in Italy near the Amalfi coast; including the sanding down of any welding marks and the arduous threading of the steel wire. Complex processes have been developed in collaboration with the local university to achieve specialised metal finishes that evolve with time, adding character individual to every piece. A new design from Ziad Alonaizy, Aegis is a concept driven modern contemporary design. The golden wires are reminiscent of a bird cage being pried open by hand. Previously an orthopaedic surgeon, Ziad Alonaizy acquired distinction from the prestigious Inchbald School of design in London before starting his new career in architectural interior design.
