About the Item

A sensational and most impressive pair of Continental 19th century Empire/Restauration Period Giltwood and Fleur de Pêcher marble consoles. This stunning pair of consoles is raised on two richly carved Giltwood Lioness legs with scrolled acanthus leaves and pawed feet. Above the Lionesses heads are foliate crowns supporting the apron. At the back are two rectangular supports with recessed central panels, a bottom mottled trim, and Rais de Coeur decorated interior bands. The apron has an elegant scale like carved design above a beaded band. Above lay the original and colorful Fleur de Pêcher marble tops.
