About the Item

This iconic Mid-Century Modern executive desk was the result of a collaboration between the masterful Italian architect and designer, Ico Parisi and his wife, Luisa, a student of Gio Ponti. The "Terni" desk, as it was named and labeled, was manufactured by and shown in the catalogue of MM Roma, Mobili Italiani Modern. This beautifully constructed two-sided desk features three rosewood and aluminum drawers in the front with two more in the back and pullout shallow drawers. The elegant slightly curved mahogany top rests on black angled legs connected by a stretcher. The "Terni" desk epitomizes the high-end modernist style of the 1950s that the Paris's were so influential in creating and is compatible with an array of design styles. b
