About the Item

Kaare Klint (1888–1954) Freestanding desk crafted in solid Cuban mahogany. Designed in 1929 by Kaare Klint and manufactured by Rud Rasmussen Cabinetmakers. This is model 4113, likely produced in the 1930s. The desk features a central tabletop with drop-leaf extensions on both sides, seamlessly joined with refined profiling. The tabletop edges are gently rounded, highlighting the elegance of the design. The apron holds three drawers framed with profiled moldings: a larger central drawer flanked by two smaller ones, all fitted with the original brass handles and locks. The interior is made from solid oak, showcasing high-quality craftsmanship. Below the drawers are two pull-out trays. The legs are straight with finely carved decorative grooves, and the profiled moldings continue along the entire apron, adding a cohesive and refined touch. Measurements H: 76 (63 to apron) L: 153 / 242 D: 76 The piece has been gently cleaned and polished to preserve its beautiful natural patina, maintaining its authentic character and timeless appeal.
