Ludovico "Vico" Magistretti was an Italian designer, architect and urban planner. Since the sixties, the activity of designer is marked annually by the creation of new "pieces", events also expected on the occasion of the Salone del Mobile in Milan which, in 1997, dedicated a monographic exhibition to Vico Magistretti alongside that of his "teacher" Gio Ponti. In 2003 the Vico Magistretti exhibition was set up at the Palazzo Ducale in Genoa. The design from the fifties to today centered entirely on his work as a designer. In the same year he was appointed member of the scientific committee of the Politecnico di Milano Foundation and in 2005 he received the special Abitare il tempo prize.
