Hans Wegner Teak Table with Hidden Tray, Johannes Hansen, 1960s

About the Item

A very rare two-tier teak and oak occasional table with hidden tray, designed by Hans Wegner for Johannes Hansen. The end table features a two-tiered design with a solid teak top and shelf, oak legs and spanners, and a pull-out serving teak tray. The concealed tray, with beautifully sculpted edges and handles, can be used independently, or set down on the ingeniously designed mechanism to expand the table's surface. This unique design, paired with the table's shape and size, make it so versatile it can be used virtually anywhere. Beautifully grained teak and oak wood with rich patina thanks to its age. The removable tray measures 21.25 in x 11.5 in. When extended with the tray, the table measures 38.25 in. The table bears the manufacturer's branded marks. A truly fine example of high quality Danish Modern design!
