About the Item
The 'Get Lost' side table is made of mirror polished stainless steel. The side table have a monolithic shape but is hollow inside, the structure is manually welded and mirror polished. An artwork of great aesthetic impact, thanks to its convex and concave planes it creates very interesting reflections. This side table can be used as a stool.
Peter Marino selected a sculptural bench of the Get Lost! Family for the new flagship store Dior in London.
Side table dimension: L 45 x W 45 x H 57 cm. Dimension are customizable.

Each side table is hand signed and numbered by the artists, 100% handmade in Italy and comes with a “Certificate of Authenticity”.
Get Lost in the depth of the cones, mirror polished in order to create a thousand reflections, dream & think! But watch out when sitting down, the pointed cones could be dangerous “Get Lost!”.
The artworks by Barberini & Gunnell are regularly shown at international art fairs, such as PAD London, PAD Genève, PAD Monaco, Salon Art and Design New York, ArtMiami.

All of our artworks travel with a shock watch system in order to monitorate rough handling by shippers and movers.

Atelier Barberini & Gunnell was founded in 2009 by the architects Francesco Barberini and Nina A. Gunnell, as the result of a passion followed for a long period of time, creating one-off pieces and collectible design in limited editions; artworks far from the industrial reality. The cultural mix between the two artists with Italian, English and Austrian backgrounds results in unique architectural and interior design projects. From several private clients and collectors emerges the request for the conception and realization of ‘living art’, customized furniture for their special homes. TERMS coffee table challenges and reimagines the typology of a coffee table. Is it still a coffee table without a top? Does it need to have legs? Can frame and surface dissolve into one structure?
For this coffee table, designer Reinier de Jong touched on several sources of inspiration from brutalist architecture to minimalist art. In his work he has always displayed a fascination for geometric patterns and repetitive volumes, as well as the space between them. When configured thoughtfully, the object transcends the simple sum of its parts.
The exterior of the aluminum parts is hand polished to a mirror shine to expose the inherent qualities of the material. Contrastingly, the interior is kept as is: brut and matte showing the extrusion lines of the manufacturing process. The parts are configurated in an alternating bond, stepping up on one side and cantilevering on the other. Thus, a intriguing sculpture-like coffee table is made with four different surface heights and several pockets to store items like coasters, remote controls, smartphones and magazines.
TERMS coffee table comes in a limited edition of 50 pcs, each with discretely engraved numbering ('01/50', '02/50', '03/50' etc) and a Stilst logo on a non-conspicuous position. The weight of the table is 27 kg (60 lbs). It will be delivered in a wooden pallet...
